Trick 'r Treat graphic novel!

Woo! I worked on the comic adaptation of Michael Dougherty's horror flick Trick 'r Treat (along with Mark Andreykos, Grant Bond, Mike Huddleston, and Christopher Gugliotti) back in 2007 when it was first supposed to come out. Despite rave reviews across the board, WB kept shelving the movie, but now it seems Trick 'r Treat will be released on DVD this Halloween.

The graphic novel comes out from WildStorm on October 7. Here's one of my pages, and Slashfilm.com has a few more.

Also, in CBR's "Month of Art Stars," June 8 belongs to me! Yeah, that was yesterday, but I just saw it. This is the best part:

"As you can see, she has a particular knack for drawing teens."

Thanks CBR, and big thanks to Fraze for picking me!

NORTH 40 process on Comic Monsters

Comicmonsters.com asked for a little run-down of my process, so you can see it here. Thumbnails to finished page, and also some concept sketches I did in like 2007 for the original NORTH 40 pitch.

If you pick up the series, you may notice that the old Sheriff gradually becomes more handsome as I work my way through Aaron's awesome scripts and become increasingly impressed by all the cool shit the Sheriff does.

ImagineFX workshop

Heads up! I did a painting tutorial for the July issue of ImagineFX magazine, on sale now-ish.

Also, DRAG ME TO HELL was really freaking scary, and I sat between two screamers.

Drink & Draw catch up

What do all these things have in common? I've never had to draw any of them for an actual job. Okay, I get paid to draw robots all the time, but they're always huge ones and almost never shaped like bells, cats, or Reggie's little cousin that he dressed up in paper cones to play a prank on Archie.

Bots:

Everybody drew Cable last week. I don't know exactly what he looks like, but I have a general idea:

(the stunning background explosion was rendered by Caleb, whose name is almost Cable)
