Trick 'r Treat graphic novel!

Woo! I worked on the comic adaptation of Michael Dougherty's horror flick Trick 'r Treat (along with Mark Andreykos, Grant Bond, Mike Huddleston, and Christopher Gugliotti) back in 2007 when it was first supposed to come out. Despite rave reviews across the board, WB kept shelving the movie, but now it seems Trick 'r Treat will be released on DVD this Halloween.

The graphic novel comes out from WildStorm on October 7. Here's one of my pages, and Slashfilm.com has a few more.

Also, in CBR's "Month of Art Stars," June 8 belongs to me! Yeah, that was yesterday, but I just saw it. This is the best part:

"As you can see, she has a particular knack for drawing teens."

Thanks CBR, and big thanks to Fraze for picking me!

Thanks Dan! That issue of IFX might actually be available only in Europe, I just realized they have a separate edition for North America. Nothing in my tutorial you don't already know though. ;)

Just read your workshop in IFX in Australia, and checked out your site. Amazing illustrations! You're so lucky to have great models around you.

And I have to ask since I've never seen anyone else with the last name Staples, but are you related to Greg Staples the artist?

Thanks Jehan! No relation to Greg; wish I had his skill in my genes though.
