ImagineFX workshop

Heads up! I did a painting tutorial for the July issue of ImagineFX magazine, on sale now-ish.

Also, DRAG ME TO HELL was really freaking scary, and I sat between two screamers.

I love your work and was so happy to see you featured in one of my fav mags. Many thanks for sharing your process too. I just ran off 100 copies of a 7x10 border that I'm anxious to begin layouts on.

I loved your tut in imagine fx!
Nevertheless, I could not find the ps brush that supposed to be on the disc. Is it lost or is it just me?

Warmest regards
Jacobi

Hi Jacobi,

I immediately lost the disc that came with my copy of the mag, but I uploaded my brushes for you here: http://fionastaples.com/misc/fionapresets.tpl

Will a .tpl file work for you?

The ones used in the tutorial are named "grey" (actually a PS default brush) and "wopper."

I just ordered this issue because of your workshop ;)

I saw your preview pages from Trick or Treat and the last big panel is awesome! You really can get down moods in your work. Fantastic!

I'm looking forward to your new work.

Best,

Chris

Henke- I think I figured this out. The brushes I was using in the tutorial weren't custom brushes, they were tool presets, hence the .tpl file.

The main brush I used is actually one of the default brushes, but here is an .abr file for it anyway: http://fionastaples.com/misc/painting_brush.abr

I only used 2 brushes, and the other was just a big, low-opacity round brush for quickly filling in large areas, so it really doesn't matter if you substitute some other brush for it! Good luck, hope that helps. :)
